Recipe: Banana ice cream with only 2 ingredients

Is there a ripe banana in the corner of a kitchen counter watching you? It happened to us too. We tried to ignore it, but we couldn’t. It seems that we don’t manage to eat bananas fast enough, that is why we prepare protein bars, cookies, muffins, and of course, smoothies and the like from it. Today, we decided to use only two ingredients to prepare the banana ice cream.

It is true that this recipe may seem a bit strange at first sight and you may not believe it very much. After all, how can creamy ice cream come from just two ingredients? We can prove it to you. And it will be even delicious!

For banana ice cream with just 2 ingredients we need:

  • 4 big ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of nut butter (peanut, almond or cashew butter)

Preparation:

First, peel the bananas and cut them into rings. Then put them on a baking tray or into a bowl and put in the freezer for 1-2 hours. Then mix the bananas using strong blender until a creamy and soft mass is formed.

Add peanut or almond butter and mix again into a creamy puree. Voila! All done! This delicious creamy ice cream can be served immediately. If you prefer a harder and more frozen ice cream, put it in the freezer for a few minutes. Serve with calorie-free syrup in a popular flavour.

Tip: If you wish, you can also use 1-2 tablespoons of milk while mixing and to make the banana easier to mix. Make sure you have a strong enough food processor or blender.
