You could have come across with the famous combination of peanut butter and jam in older American films, and you probably didn’t understand what everyone saw in it. Neither did we. But after trying this new recipe for peanut bars with strawberry jam, we have to say that we already do understand. The combination of delicate nutty taste with fruit jam creates a perfect pair, and you definitely should give it a try with these flour-free bars!
Ingredients:
- 120 g oats
- 200 g strawberry jam
- 50 g almonds
- 50 g coconut sugar
- 50 g peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Grind almonds and 60 g of oats into flour. Mix them with unground oats, cinnamon and coconut sugar. Next, add the egg, peanut butter and mix everything well together in order to create a sticky dough. Press ¾ of the dough into a smaller tin (we used a tin in a size of 20 x 20 cm) lined with baking paper. Then spread a layer of jam on the dough and cover it with crumbled ¼ of the dough. Bake at 180 °C for about 15 minutes. Let it cool completely, slice it, garnish with peanut butter and enjoy!
