BIO Vitamin D3 contains a functional dose of 20 μg of well-absorbed vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) in just one capsule and is unique because it comes from a pure plant source called Reindeer Lichen. Vitamin D contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system and is important for the health of bones, muscles and teeth. It also plays an important role in the cell division process. The organism can usually make it itself using the sun's rays. However, at a time when there is typically less sunlight (winter, fall) or when you spend more time indoors, it is more effective to focus on getting enough of this vitamin through diet and supplementation.
Most plant sources contain a less useful form of vitamin D, namely vitamin D2. BIO Vitamin D3, however, is obtained from lichen, which is an exceptional 100% plant source of vitamin D in its best usable form of D3.
