Krill oil consists of softgel capsules containing krill oil - NKO®. It consists of omega-3 fatty acids, such as eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid. In addition to omega-3, the product also includes phospholipids and astaxanthin.
Krill oil consists of softgel capsules containing krill oil - NKO®. It is exceptional for its content of fatty acids, phospholipids and astaxanthin, which is naturally found in the oil. With one dose you receive up to 250 mg of omega-3 fatty acids, and these belong among the healthy fats. Omega-3s in krill oil include docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Docosahexaenoic acid is of great importance to humans because it helps maintain proper brain function and good eyesight. This benefit is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA. Phospholipids are a type of fat that is found naturally in the cells of the human body. Astaxanthin is a red dye belonging to the carotenoids, thanks to which some animals have a red-pink color, such as salmon or shrimp. Capsules are a practical way to supplement omega-3 fatty acids and phospholipids.
